How to Buy and Sell at Auction Seminars - Brooklands Thurday & Friday Auction Viewing Days during 2018 - 1.00pm

Whether you are new to the classic car scene or an old hand, buying and selling at auction may be a daunting prospect, especially if you have never experienced the process before. Even the most experienced will have unanswered questions. Don’t worry, are team here at Historics are here to help. John Williams, who has delivered classic car courses and seminars for over 16 years and Fabian Hine, one of the most experienced auctioneers in the business will be delivering two seminars at to be held at 1.00pm during each of our viewing days on Thursday & Friday. Armed with the knowledge, we aim to make the auction experience an enjoyable and successful one for buyers and sellers alike.

For buyers, you will be taken through all aspects of the auction process that will include; registration, bidding methods, provisional bidding (what this means), payments and collection (if you are successful). For sellers, the process you will go through to get you car to auction and useful tips on preparation, one of the most important and often most neglected aspects that often result in many good classic cars failing to sell. Your time with us will end with a question and answer session. One thing that John Williams and Fabian Hine has learnt most over the years is that, there are no stupid questions and many so called experienced auction attendees, including dealers, are surprised at what they learn.

A catalogue admits two people.

Entrance to all Historics at Brooklands classic and sports car auctions are by catalogue only, each catalogue will admit two people for both the viewing and auction day but will also admit you to either the Brooklands Motor Museum, Mercedes-Benz World or our new additional venue, the Ascot Racecourse (for whichever location said auction is held at).

Auction catalogues can be bought at the entrance both on viewing and auction day however if you would like to buy now and reserve your copy please contact Historics on 01753 639170. Four auction catalogues can be bought at a discounted rate of 100 and will ensure entrance throughout the year.
